Forchini Winery and Vineyards 2003 Pinot Noir

An elegant and seductive California styled 100% Pinot Noir made by co-fermenting 80% Martini clone with 20% French clones. Medium bodied in structure with soft tannin, brilliant ruby red color and mixed fruit flavors of cherry, strawberry, candy apple and plum that combine with hints of subtle spice. Aged 18 months in 50% new French tonnellerie American oak to provide perfumed aromas, balanced mouthfeel and a smooth lingering finish. Polished filtered prior to bottling. Serve with fancy foods, cheese, salmon, shellfish, and lighter meats of poultry, veal, and pork.
